Over the course of four months, a major Wisconsin hospital system implemented e-MedRounds to better handle measurement of patient concerns and provide greater customer service to their patients and patient families.
A multi-site facility with specializations in Cardiac care and Pediatrics needed a better, more proactive, approach to patient concerns and needs. Accurate Health Systems, AHS, was consulted and recommended e-MedRounds and e-MedResponse as a cost effective, "full-circle" solution for the group.
Over the course of two months, multiple site surveys were conducted with hospital administration and staff. This initial planning phase consisted of environmental goals, needs and strategic direction of the health system. From here, we co-developed the metrics, means of measurement and roll out strategy for the healthcare group. The custom program was then tested and accepted as a top priority initiative for the year.
The immediate benefits to the group include: real time event escalation and reporting, anywhere access and benchmarking capabilities. After three months of adoption, enhanced communication modules were added to serve multiple sites. We also added a custom handheld version of e-MedRounds to cater to the planned wireless initiatives of their growing healthcare system.
